Toyota Plans New Facility on the York Township, MI Campus of the Toyota Technical Center

Toyota will move forward with the planning of its new facility on the York Township, MI campus of the Toyota Technical Center to accommodate approximately 250 direct procurement positions currently based in Kentucky approval of state and local incentives. The expansion of the TTC campus is a key element of Toyota's ongoing consolidation of its North American operations, which includes the establishment of a new North American headquarters in Plano, Texas. As part of this initiative, Toyota will move about 250 direct procurement positions from its manufacturing headquarters in Erlanger, KY, to a new facility to be built at the TTC campus in York Township. Other recent efforts to enhance North American engineering capabilities include the April 2014 appointment of Toyota's fifth American Chief Engineer in North America, Monte Kaehr.

Toyota Motor Corporation Plans to Launch Successor to Hilux in 2015

Toyota Motor Corporation is planning to launch a successor to the Hilux pick up in 2015. The model features a Highlander-cum-Toyota grille divided into horizontal chrome bars. It is available with a choice of a 2.5-litre and 3.0-litre diesel engines and a 4-litre petrol V6 engine. Toyota is to commence production of the vehicle at the start of this month in time for 2015.

Toyota Motor Corporation to Launch New Innova in India

Toyota Motor Corporation announced that it is launching its new Innova in India during 2015. The vehicle will be available with a new range of diesel engines coupled with an automatic gearbox. The model is to compete with the Maruti Ertiga and Honda Mobilio. It is to be priced from INR 900,000 to INR 1,500,000.
